Colours

Ultramarine-Blue

Ultramarine-blue is the IST primary colour. In its imagery, blue stands for science and precision. The colour conveys constancy in a rapidly changing world.

INDUSTRIAL division

Ultramarine-blue is the leading colour in communication for the INDUSTRIAL division – blue stands for the roots of the brand that has grown significantly with industrial applications. Today, the colour is attributed to applications such as curing of coatings and glues. Products, applications and information from the “Industrial” division can be colour-coded accordingly, for example.

Different grey tones can be used as background and contrasting colours, with the other two colours, yellow-green and ultramarine-blue having a stronger impact.

Refinement

Special refinement techniques and papers can be considered when designing printed materials. High-quality materials and processes reflect the excellence of IST products and make it possible to experience the variety of applications of UV printing through appearance and touch. Refinements are also used for IST business cards.

Typography

Company typeface

DIN Offc Pro is the corporate typeface of IST and is used for all internal and external documents, as far as it is technically possible. The font is available in the typeface weights bold, regular and light. The company typeface is set as the default in Microsoft Word and is to be used for all written (even digital) documents, ideally in the size 12 pt.

Exceptions

e-mail communication

The default font and size can continue to be used in e-mails (Calibri, size 11) to guarantee that the e-mail is also correctly presented at the recipient.

Font set

DIN Offc Pro includes the Latin font set and is therefore used for virtually all applications. A font st other than the Latin font set must be used for certain target regions (e.g. China). The font “Noto” is used.

Headlines

The headings are set to bold with the font DIN Offc Pro Bold. The headlines are supported by a subline in print and web. This is to be set with a significantly lower font size and in standard script.

Continuous text

Continuous text and its headings are to be set in standard script. The continuous text headings are set to bold with the font DIN Offc Pro Bold.

Script

The slogan “energy in light” is a word mark and is based on the personal handwriting of Christian-Marius Metz. For this reason, it does not have a font and it cannot be replaced by a (similar) font. Like the logos, the slogan is available as a file.
